Part Time Veterinarian

We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and experienced Veterinarian to support our growing business. We currently have part-time schedules available.

This is a mobile position; you will be traveling to client's homes to provide euthanasia services. We provide all support (client scheduling, supplies, and most client communication). No surgery, diagnosing nor presenting estimates.  You will get to enjoy the beauty of the Pioneer Valley, while meeting and befriending the most kind, loving and appreciative people and their pets.  

We are looking for special individuals to support our growth. The ideal candidate will:

• Live in Western MA or Northern CT

• Demonstrate genuine compassion and empathy for our clients and their pets

• Posses valid MA +/- CT State veterinary license and a DEA license

• Possess a valid driver's license

We are frequently on the ground or kneeling in front of  dogs,  cats and their people. Additionally, we assist clients with lifting and transporting their pets for aftercare as required.

Requires extensive driving

Current Hours Available: Thursday - Monday, 8:00am - 7:00pm, you as the candidate can request the days/hours which you prefer.  Currently one of our DVMs prefers to work 8am-4pm; another 
prefers 10am-5pm.  You can determine what works best for you!  

Employment Type: Part time Contract 

Experience: 3+ years ideal

Client Care Position - Position Filled

We are growing our team at Paws Finding Peace.  As of March 14, 2021, we are looking to hire full time, part time and/or per diem veterinary support staff.  The ideal candidate would have experience in the veterinary field as a veterinary technician, veterinary assistant or CSR.  This position requires a skillful communicator who is compassionate and grounded.

Job duties include:

  • Client communication - talking with grieving pet parents and providing support as they struggle with making a euthanasia decision, returning texts and emails

  • Scheduling  - you will schedule appointments with clients 

  • Logistics - together with the DVM you will plan out the daily logistics (using a map, client requests and patient information you help figure out the when/where of the schedule)

  • Outreach - assist with social media as needed/requested, help maintain relationships with local practices 

  • Administrative work - paperwork, make paw prints, etc. *

  • Aftercare - assist with pets after they have passed*

Job location:

Currently this is a remote position.  Hopefully we will have a building soon and at that time we would work from the Paws Finding Peace location.  Note: the last two job duties are not applicable to remote work.  

Compensation:

  • Pay range: $17-20/hr

  • Paid time off (generous allowance for full time)

  • Health insurance allowance or health insurance provided*

  • Willingness to add to the benefits package based on employee request
