DR. LAUREN ATKINS

Dr. Lauren Atkins moved to Massachusetts from Georgia/South Carolina in 2008 to work at the MSPCA shelter in Springfield.  After the closing of the MSPCA she and her 3 dogs and 3 cats stayed in the beautiful pioneer valley and she continued to work in animal welfare as the veterinarian at Thomas J. O'Connor Animal Control and Adoption Center until 2017.  Throughout her time in Massachusetts, Dr. Atkins has been working as a relief vet at clinics throughout the area - so you may have seen her at some point working with your veterinarian.

Dr. Atkins founded Paws Finding Peace because she wholeheartedly believes that providing a peaceful death is one of the greatest gifts we can give our beloved pets.  Saying good-bye is always difficult, but being able to say good-bye surrounded by family at home can help minimize stress and anxiety.
